A: Your meals are delivered every Monday and/or Thursday in an insulated box at the location of your choice. No coordination is necessary. You can also give us a key so we can leave your box in your lobby or home.

For most regions, we deliver overnight. However, a few regions in the Bay Area also have daytime delivery options. If they're available for your region, you'll be given the chance to choose between overnight and daytime deliveries when you sign up.

Q: How do I dispose of the box and other materials?

A: Our boxes and clean containers are recyclable. We recommend checking with your local recycling center to see if they accept the liners as cities often have different recycling guidelines. Our ice packs are filled with non toxic, food grade gel which can be tossed with other non-compostable materials.

Q: Are meals fully cooked?

A: Yes, all our meals are ready to eat and can be reheated in a microwave or on a stovetop in less than 5 minutes.

For most meals (salads are the exception), we recommend reheating your meal on the stovetop for best results.

Q: What kind of ingredients do you use?

A: The highest-quality ingredients we're able to procure each week.

None of our meals include any:

  • Refined sugar
  • Artificial ingredients
  • Canola oil
  • Vegetable oil
  • Processed ingredients
  • Gluten
  • Lactose, casein or whey

We source organic, seasonal, and local ingredients wherever possible. See our Sourcing page to view the list of farms where we purchase our ingredients.

Q: Why aren't all your ingredients organic?

A: We prioritize two things when sourcing ingredients:

  • Local and seasonal: Ingredients that don't travel as far and are in season contain the most nutritional value when it gets to you. This also lets us support local farms and the environment.
  • Organic or sustainable: Farms that use sustainable practices (no pesticides on produce and no antibiotics or growth hormones in meat or seafood) help protect your health, the environment and the health of their workers.

A good portion of the produce we use is certified organic. While other local farms we source from can't afford organic certification (because of the high certification costs involved), this doesn't mean they're not using sustainable, organic practices. Our team works hard to make sure the farms we source from are raising produce, meat and seafood that's clean and sustainable, whether they're certified or not.

See our Sourcing page to view the list of farms where we purchase our ingredients.
